Tap a pocketed ball to credit it to the active player. The 9 is worth 2 points and ends the rack. Remaining 1–8 balls automatically become dead when the 9 drops.

Game controls

For a dead ball, choose the numbered ball in the prompt. Defense does not change turns or innings. β€œEnd turn” counts an inning only when the lag loser (Player B) completes their turn. 9-snap and break-and-run are recorded as separate statistics.

Scorekeeping rules and controls

APA 9-ball targets for skill levels 1–9: 14, 19, 25, 31, 38, 46, 55, 65, 75. Balls 1–8 score 1; the 9 scores 2. Dead balls score zero and never include the 9. A rack should account for 10 points between both players and dead balls. Defensive shots are intentional non-pocketing attempts, including shots that still pocket a ball, and are counted separately. Use the official APA score-of-match chart for the 20 league match points. The app tracks ball points, not an unofficial estimate of league points.
